Josiah Morgan has my drawings ready, and his CNC router does not have any other projects scheduled, so we cut my panels tonight. We ran a test piece of 1/4" plywood, and it was a good thing that we did because we forgot to plug in the tool paths… in other words, the bit did not lift from one hole to the next. Yep, you guessed it… riiiip, from one hole to the next. Not a big deal on a cheap piece of ply, but I’m glad we discovered this before we loaded the not-so-cheap mahogany ply. Once we made a few minor adjustments, we were ready to cut… simply load and center the material and run the program. No fly cutters, no splintered grains… 6 minutes start to finish with perfect alignment.
