Brief Description:  Welding Fuel Cell

Roy and I got together at Chuck’s place for another fitting/welding session. We were able to get the baffles tacked in place and fit/tack the bottom sections into place. All the work of drawing, cutting on the CNC and forming in the hydroform and by hand were really paying off during this phase of assembly. Many people say that the hardest part is the fitting and the warpage caused by heat when trying to tack and weld… not so in this case. With all the edges flanged at 45* we had a nice clamping surface and a nice lap joint to weld. This thing was turning out nice.
