I took the day off work today because it is supposed to be the nicest day we have had in a long time, and I wanted to work on my airplane.
I picked up a polishing wheel that I want to try on my aluminum control horns. First, I marked and drilled all the clevis pin holes and then measured for drilling some lightening holes. Once all the machining was done, I knocked most of the rough edges and scratches off with a scotch brite wheel and then polished them a bit with the polishing wheel. They are looking pretty good, but I still have a little cutting to do once I decide how best to do it (center cut). After that I'll give them another pass on the scotch brite and final polish.
