Brief Description: Recieved Crankshaft from Moldex
Today I revieved my reconditioned crankshaft from Moldex Crankshaft in Redford, MI. It turned out excellent. The radiuses were perfect and the journals are like mirrors. It has had a 10/10 regrind, magnafluxed, safety shaft threads and heat treatment (nitrided).
The only hurdle still existing with the crankshaft is that I need my can drive gear/flange pressed back on. from what I know of this process, it requires a properly heated flange/gear (not too hot, not too cold) in order to press it on without galling the crankshaft. I may contact WW to see if he can assist me with this operation as I am not set up to accomplish this properly.
