After several sessions of building ribs, applying polyurethane, framing up and leveling jigs, marking spars for proper rib spacing, cutting spars to proper length and angles, etc... it was finally time to slide some ribs on the spars. I started with the left panel. No reason, that just happens to be the side that I marked off and cut first. The fit was fairly snug, but I attribute some of that to the moderate humidity levels we have had lately... they should still be pretty snug even when we dry a bit more. 14 ribs on 13' 5" spars. Looking good. Now I need to cut and install several braces and drag cables.
Larry Trustee and Roger Wieden stopped by to take a look. Both thought that the assembly was looking good.
