With all of the fabric work done, it was time to lay on the primer coat. I started with the vertical and horizontal stabilizers, applied 2 coats with a foam brush, wet sanded with 1000 grit sandpaper wrapped over a sponge, then applied 2 more coats, which provide good coverage with a nice smooth texture. The sanding knocked down some of the sharps (peaks) created around the pinked tape edges, and also smoothed down the initial brush strokes. 818, stock photo of Sherwin Williams primer
