I put several hours on this log entry because there have been many days of discussion about color schemes over the past weeks. Many people talk about colors and themes in the early days of their projects, I did too! Someone told me back then, don’t spend too much time thinking about that right now because you will change your mind by the time you are ready for paint. They were right, but I did still think of it from time to time. Kind of hard not to. So here we are at the big day. My family and friends and I have used colored pencils and crayons to consider different pairings and designs, some would be very difficult to produce, others just weren’t my style. I kept coming back to a simple and basic color pattern, a subdued look that wasn’t too flashy, but that gives a tough appearance that might go well with the somewhat military theme I have in my head.
I chose Sherwin Williams premium latex primer and paint on the recommendation of several friends that have used these products. The colors are a satin finish black and gray.
