Brief Description:  Continue to dissassembe HS

Continued disassembling HS due to pitting from improper application of Sanchem CC6100 anti-corossion treatment.Disassembled rear spar, hinges and doubler plate. Pitting found on back of doubler plate. Also detemined that counter sinking was very much too deep (a whole other story). Will scrap spar and retain doubler plate and hinges. Disassmebled ribs from forward spar and removed head of all rivets from doubler plate and mounting bracket. Should be able to complete dissassembly in next session. After completing disassembly, will set HS aside match and dimple all other sub-assimplies for empenage, then go back and determine what parts on HS need to be replace due to damage from removingl the rivets. I need to step back from this major set-back before continuing with the HS.Also decided not to use Sanchem treatement and will prime all interior surfaces. This will necessitate building a paint booth. Have a design for a collapsable paint booth. Ah, another project.Rivet removal was greatly facilitated with rivet removal tool purchased from Aircraft Supply. Worth ever penny of the $45.00 or so I spent on it.
