Today I created a simple model of the engine and the engine mount. I simulated 100lb thrust to get an idea of what the safety factor under normal conditions. I do not intend to build the engine mount to cope with blade failure. At the moment it would apear that the structure is about 300% stronger than the yield point. I think the fuel pump for the turbine will go inside the fuselage. This is likely not the final design and it will be another 3 weeks before I start welding anything.
