I did not like the way in which the springs had been connected to the rudder pedals using a combination of short spring and safety wire. I opted instead to use a single spring of the appropriate length for each pedal. The springs were purchased from home depot. The spacer is merely CPVC to keep the springs from wandering or binding with one another. It took roughly 1 hour to remove the old hardware and install the new hardware.
