This weekend I begin designing the new instrument panel. The new panel consists of 3 separate pieces of sheet metal. It took about 3 hours of CAD work and 10 hours of metal work to get this far. Hopefully I remembered to include all the essential items. The panel consists of:
* GRT Mini-X EFIS * FLIGHTLINE FL-760 * TRANSPONDER - TBD (Compass for now) * Jetbeetle Engine Monitor and Nav button * 4x switches: Avionics, ECU, Nav/Strobe Lights, Landing Light * 2x switches: fuel transfer, wing tank <--> fuselage tank * 3x audio ports: 1 headset and music input * 2 holes: Tow Release and Elevator Trim * 4x circuit breaks (side)
An additional 2 hours was spent ordering items from aircraft spruce to replace hardware on the wings and fuselage that is showing signs of corrosion as well as parts to complete the instrument panel.
