I scrubbed and primed the firewall and the PF-164 L channel brace. I attached PF-162 to PF-164 (firewall) using the 25mm rivet spacing (36 total). The manual calls for SSD44BS structural blind rivets (POP rivets), which are aluminum with steel mandrel to prevent galvanic corrosion if aluminum rivets were used. The problem is, these are too long. The PF-164 is 1/16 and together with the firewall is only 0.1" thick. It also appears that the recommendation for SSD46 rivets would be too long as well since the total thickness for most of the rivets would be 0.165" between the firewall and the 1/8" L channel. Waiting to hear back before moving forward. After this rivet dilemna is resolved the firewall will be firmly attached to the cabin frame with 163 rivets.
