Brief Description:  Rear Door Brackets and More

Today I made the (4) brackets for the rear door, primed and riveted. I also drilled out the F-117 and F-188 parts. The F-188 hole locations must be exact. These holes occur near welds and fillets. The measurements in the manual are close, but may need to be adjusted by +/- 2mm to avoid welds and fillets. On one or two of the (8) total F188 AN3 bolt holes I may need to take 0.5mm off those washers to avoid the fillets and welds. I noticed the 6028 and 6026 parts are distinctly different with different hole spacings, but they are clearly the right part when cleco'd in place. The manual has (2) 6028 parts so I spent 15 minutes looking for a part that does not exist and because these two parts aren't exactly mirror images of one another I ended up wasting nearly an hour figuring this mystery out! I also had to trim the flange on 6028 (right) to match 6026. Lastly, the manual wasn't exactly clear on how F-6045 attaches, but it became clear after 5 minutes. There should be a slight gap between 6028 and 6026 and the adjoining frame, so these F-6045 parts fill in that gap and then everything makes sense. I am currently figuring out what to do about reinforcements in the upper rear door cabin area since I removed the F-6021 and F-622 parts that used to be there. I recycled those parts into (4) brackets near the rear door sill area.
