While doing a lookaround of the engine compartment this morning, I detected a small drop of grease from the drive clutch housing. I sent a picture to Skeeter, who wrote back and said that inside the bell housing is a Borg Warner sprague clutch similar to what is used in automatic transmissions. The clutch, and a special synthetic grease is installed with a seal and then riveted. Over time the seal seems to be leaking. At some point the rivets will need to be drilled out, cleaned and the grease replaced with a new seal. He said to be really careful with the clutch because it has a row of fingers that could end up on the floor.
