Modified the Infinity stick grip as many builders do. The issue is with the wiring harness that comes out of the grip. Many builders run this cable, which is a large diameter as supplied, down the stick ID and then drill an exit hole somewhere to route the cable aft. Note: other RV model have a hollow stick so the cable can just exit the bottom of the stick. There is some debate on the practice of drilling holes in the control stick down near the pivot point of the stick and the resulting effect on strength of the modified stick. I chose to have the cable exit the grip near the top of the stick which would have negligible effect on the strength of the stick. I also chose to reduce the diameter of the harness as many builders do but open the grip and using a common ground removing the protective harness casing. After I wired for a common ground wiring, I then shrink wrapped the harness to replace the wire protection.
When I initially installed the grip on the stick, the stick would not fully close and left approx 1/8" gap between the stick halves. I contemplated ordering a new grip, made sure there were no pinched wires, etc etc. I ended up using a dremmel tool and lightly filed away some plastic until the grip fully closed.
