Brief Description:  Grove gear install part 3

In keeping with my technique of getting little done in a long time, I spent 5 hours tonight drilling 8 bolt holes. These were the 1/4" bolt holes on the outer ends of the gear mount wear plates. These holes are arguably the toughest holes to get right on the entire project, in my view. The holes in F805 wear plates for the outboard brackets are hidden by the belly skin so you have to measure and drill an access hole through which the drill bit can pass. I also found that it was not easy to get an exactly "axial" hole. What I mean is that the bolt head sits ever so slightly at an angle (maybe this disappears when it gets torqued?). The holes for the inner brackets were ridiculously difficult. In hindsight, I may have done this the hard way. I drilled from upside down under the inverted fuselage drilling upward. An easy and more proper way would have been to start the hole, remove the gear and finish the holes in the wear plates on the drill press, and then re-assemble for a final drill. In any case, my Grove gear legs attach points are now all drilled and deburred. I did not measure for gear alignment but will do that after final installation with proper torque.
