interestingly, the lowest bolt hole creates a figure-8 (snowman) with a tooling hole in the bulkhead between the weldment and the VS. since this bulkhead is sandwiched, it shouldn't matter - but it seems odd to have the tooling hole located in that proximity.
ended up with proper edge distance on all mounting holes. of note, the port corner of the tailskid weldment does not naturally sit flush with the bulkhead. i presume the bolt torque will dress this up flush. the gap is about 1/16", see image 3.
