removed the rudder pedal assembly from the fuselage and began assembling the rest of the components. i have not plumbed for hydraulics yet, but all of the other components have been assembled on the bench. i'm installing the ground adjustable pedals, which makes for a simple system with few parts.
i may add individual reservoirs to each master cylinder on the brake pedals themselves as i've seen other builders do this and avoid an additional hole in the firewall.
also finished spreading the rollbar. used nylon ratcheting straps between fence posts to incrementally widening the rollbar. an 1/4" spread did the trick perfectly for a proper fit to the fuselage with no shims.
i was initially apprehensive about spreading this weldment, but the plans speak to it and it appears to be common practice.
