made simple map cases for each side of cockpit, mid-cabin. just cut two pieces of .032 sheet and matched drilled to fuselage bulkheads. will either mount via screw/nutplate or just pop rivet them in. should not have to remove them, so pop rivet would be easiest.
also worked on fit of wd-814, rollbar. the rollbar is a bit wider narrower than the fuselage at the attach points. other builders have simply spread the rollbar to fit. i'm still contemplating on spreading the rollbar or just adding some shims. the problem with shims is that then the fit doesn't match with the angle longerons. the plans say it's ok to adjust the width of the weldment, so that's the way i'm leaning.
