Brief Description:  Top skin, misc interior panels

Drilled F-821 top skin horizontally along F-887 longerons. There are four rivets already set on each side along the longeron, and I need to call Van's to determine if those should be drilled out and replaced to include the top skin fastening.

Also cut out the top skin segment that forms the glare shield just aft of the instrument panel per the plans using a dremel tool with a cutoff wheel. Drilled the hole for the AN-3A bolt fastening the instrument panel to the F-816 angle. I started this hole with a #30 pilot then enlarged to #21 then #12.

Spent some time thinking about throttle quadrant mod -- haven't decided yet.

Lastly, started fabricating some small panels to make the mid-cabin armrests into "open bay" storage.

**update** a few other builders have not drilled out and replaced the factory rivets along the F-821 top skin. These are structural rivets performing structural integrity in their current positions. Having them penetrate the F-821 does not appear to be structural and drilling and replacing them could potential damage the hole. I'm 99% sure I will not drill these rivets out.
