more throttle quad work. pressing on with newer mount using .040 sheet bent into a U-channel and riveted to the F804 channel cap. will attach lever assembly mount bolts through the channel with platenuts. the structure seems plenty strong even with only a few clecos installed for fit.
still have some minor trimming left to do, but mostly finished. the bracket is a little larger than it probably needs to be (slightly over engineered) but i really like the strength and solid base of this structure.
the throttle quadrant is not as "pretty" as i would have liked. i originally wanted to bend and a form a complete top piece and then one additional side plate. as the process evolved, some holes were drilled that then limited the placement of the parts i'm using now. the result is a structure i'm happy with, but quite the cosmetics i was hoping for. seems to be like the rest of the plane.... won't win any show awards, but solidly built.
time to move on...
also spent some time on panel layout with mockups taped to actual panel.
