started fitting up the rudder to the VS. this involves threading in the rod end bearings to a specified depth and then fitting to the hinge brackets in the VS. the plans don't call for this step until much later during the aft fuselage construction, but i was eager to see some airplane parts start looking like airplane parts. this is an iterative process until all the rod end bearings are set the way you like. rudder on, rudder off. rudder on, rudder off. and so it goes for hours....
