Brief Description:  Rudder skeleton

Assembled rudder skeleton. Some fabrication work was required here. The plans call for a shim and counterweight skin to made from .032" alclad, so I made those and match drilled them to the spar and rudder tip rib. Prior to match drilling this skin to the rib, I prepped the rib by fluting and squaring the flanges.

The skeleton is started by clecoing and match drilling the 3 reinforcement plates to the spar. Then,
the root rib, the rudder horn and the horn support brace were then clecoed to the spar and match drilled. The rudder horn support brace takes some altering to make it fit properly, but once trimmed per the drawings, the structure fits together nicely.
