I'm still working on the HS and VS skeletons. I replaced 3 more rivets today and this took a while. I hate drilling out rivets that I have already set, but I am more comfortable with the rivets now. The majority are setting ok, but it's easy even with a pneumatic squeezer to get a deformed shop head.
I still haven't decided on how to set the 3 rivets joining HS 707 to 704 to 705. The rivets are right up against the web of 705 and the squeezer yoke nose is too big to fit. I've heard of guys grinding down the nose, but I hate to mess with an expensive tool. I think I'll try the double offset set and a bucking bar to set these.
These 3 rivets are taking up way too much time. If I can get these set, then it's time for the skins.
