Brief Description:  HS and VS skeleton riveting

Set the first rivets of the project today. I riveted the front and rear spars of the HS and the front spar and ribs of the VS. The pneumatic squeezer is worth it's weight in gold. The riveting went well for the most part. I did have quite a few holes that had been match drilled that did not line up very well when reassembled. Some even had to be redrilled. Also, the rivet specified seem too long in some locations. Specifically in the HS412 and 413 hinge brackets - the -5 rivets seem quite long and tended to form an angled shop head. I switched to the -4 rivets and achieved much better results with a proper shop head height and diameter.

I had to touch up the primer as well in a few spots. It seems rather easy to chip it away all the way back down to the aluminum.

Stopped for the night at the VS404-VS405-VS702 rivets. Haven't decided yet how to set those. The squeezer can't fit so it may be time for the gun.
