Brief Description: HS & VS priming QA and prep for riveting
Just returned from 4 days of vacation to Pensacola. Had a great time on the beach with Tanner and Shanda.
Got back into it by QAing the priming I did last week on all of the HS & VS internals. Some parts came out great, but some had some significant "runs" in the primer. I felt these would cause the skin and/or rivets to not sit flush so I sanded down the high spots. I then cleaned up the sanded areas and spot primed with SEM self-etching spray can primer. You can see image 1 & 2 with the touched up areas. Not sure if this was necessary but I feel better about doing it.
Afterwards, I clecoed the HS & VS spars assemblies together and got them all prepared for riveting.
Now we'll see how well the matched-hole technology produces straight and true skeletons.
