Began working on vertical stabilizer. The rear spar doubler bar is a thick bit roughed from alclad stock. I clecoed it to the rear spar match drilled all holes including the rudder hinge brackets.
The rudder hinge brackets are supplied from Van's powder coated and finished. The only work it to final match drill them to the spar. I will follow this drilling with a quick primer touch up where the powder coating is removed due to drilling.
I then deburred the doubler bar with a vixen file followed by a couple of passes over the 6in scotchbrite wheel.
I plan to drill out the optional lightening holes but need to get some metal hole cutters first.
