removed the skins from the skeleton to debur and mark all parts.
surprised at what i saw. first, the rib noses had gouged up the interior of the skins at the leading edges. see image 1. however, once i smoothed out the scratches with 400 grit paper and some very fine (maroon) scotchbrite pads, the scratches appeared to all have been only in the alclad layer. i will prime it anyway.
other issue is that one rib left a slight "dent" in the skin leading edge. the gouge buffed out ok, but the dent is still evident by touch. you can't really see it unless pointed out at close inspection.
