Brief Description:  canopy frame

completed most of the canopy frame installation. insalled the roller assembly to the wd-819 canopy frame, the umhw slider block and the umhw anchor block. the slider block was fairly straightforward - i placed a 1/16" plate between the anchor pin and the slider rail and marked the slider block retaining pin hole. drilled this on the press and the small cotter pin retaining hole. only issue here is that the plans call for a cotter pin that is too short.

the canopy frame width fit fairly well out of the box, but i did have compress the width about 1/4" to make the frame curvature match nicely with the fuselage. this will give the canopy skirts a snug fit to the fuse. the aft frame bow though required a full 1+" inch of bending down towards the slider rail to get the specified 3/4-5/8" spacing. i used a long piece of 2x2 as a lever.

still need to install the remaining hardware in the aft 4 holes of the slider rail, drill the canopy rails, drill and fasten the anchor block, and lastly add another 1/3" bend downwards to the aft frame bow.

after this is complete, it'll be time for the bubble canopy trimming.
