Brief Description: Prep for Oil System Priming & Fuel System Flushing
Today, preparations were made for the engine oil priming and fuel system flushing and tank calibration.
Oil drip pans were made from drywall mud pans ($5.00 each) and aluminum straps. These were mounted with the valve cover mounting screws.
The priming shaft and its nylon bearing that were fabricated earlier, were inserted in the distributor hole, with the tang on the end of the shaft engaging the slot in the oil pump.
A drain hose was connected to the fuel bulkhead fitting in preparation for flushing the fuel system.
