Brief Description: Painting Interior Parts & Starter Ground
The turtleback formers, seat back, upper boot cowl, and the trim cable clamp, were painted with a gray base coat/clear coat automotive paint today.
The remaining side skin rivets were installed also.
Recently William Wynne notified Corvair conversion builders that the anodizing and powder coating on some starters was an effective insulator, preventing the starter from being grounded correctly. He suggested that a 4-gage wire jumper be added between the starter case and the engine case to insure a high current ground path. I fabricated mine today, and will mount it to the engine after the engine is mounted to the airframe.
