Over the past couple of days, the interior of the cowling was finished. The interior of the lower cowling not covered with the heat barrier foil, was painted with two coats of white gloss enamel paint. The area inside the air filter box was painted with a blue latex paint to improve the appearance when curious folks look into the induction air snout.
The interior of the upper cowl was painted with two coats of enamel white gloss paint.
The enamel paint not only improves the appearance, but seals up the porous fiberglass interior, and smoothes the surface to some extent, making it much easier to clean.
