I inspected the painted fiberglass sample from yesterday, and decided that too much of the fiberglass weave was visible through the paint. Several more layers of paint would probably solve the problem, but a heavy paint buildup would have a greater tendency to chip or crack.
So, I mixed up a wet batch of micro and squeeged a thin layer over the entire interior surface, except the area that will be glued to the bubble, or where the frame components will mate. I may use Poly-ProTech or 3M 5200 between the frame and skirt, but have not made a final decision yet. The micro will cure overnight.
