The bubble was removed and set in the sling holder. The final trim was marked with masking tape to provide a one-inch overlap for adhesive. I bought a new Dremel tool and used it with a thin cutoff wheel to complete the trimming. I like the Dremel for cutting the bubble because it is easier to control, and it throws off far less plastic dust than a 4-1/2” angle grinder.
The edge of the bubble was carefully sanded with 100, 220, 320, and finally 400 grit sandpaper.
The two canopy skirt attach brackets were bent and trimmed for their respective positions.
