Work continued on the canopy frame assembly. The forward angles were match drilled to the canopy bow and side rails, then clecoed together. The sides of the angles were marked then cut and sanded to match the outboard shape of the canopy bow.
Spacers were positioned between the hinge halves to hold them in position for drilling. The hinge side rail was clamped in position with a spacer against the instrument panel to keep the bow aligned with the panel. The holes in the side rail were transfer drilled to the hinge top plates, then the assembly was disassembled and deburred.
The aft end of the left side rail is outboard of the left side about 3/32”, so a minor adjustment will be made before proceeding further.
