Brief Description:  Pitot and Static Manifold

The GPS shelf fabricated yesterday was riveted to the firewall this morning.

My Pitot and Static system will be feeding the GRT EFIS and a backup airspeed indicator. Rather than using Tees to couple to both devices, I decided to land both lines at a dual manifold mounted on the avionics tray behind the instrument panel. From the manifold, a pitot and static line will go to both devices.

The manifold was designed in 3D CAD, then fabricated from a 3/8” X ¾” X 2” aluminum block and six pieces of 5/8” long 3/16” diameter aluminum tubing I had on hand.

The short tubes were glued into the manifold block with JB-Weld epoxy. Tomorrow, I will plug the holes on each end of the block with 3/16” diameter aluminum rod and JB-Weld.
