In preparation for the final wiring after the avionics arrive, I took the time today to remove the stick from the airframe and shortened it 5/8” to ensure that the top of the stick grip would not interfere with the instrument panel.
I also wired the three switches on the stick to a connector positioned inside the stick. A hole was drilled in the front of the stick about one inch below the pivot point, and the wire pulled through, and protected with a grommet. The the stick assembly was reinstalled.
