Grounding points for the engine, airframe, and battery were established. A ¼-20 threaded stud and jam nut were mounted in the lower left rear corner of the engine, and secured with high strength Loctite RC/680.
A Firewall ground pass-through was established just below the upper left engine mount bolt, using a ¼-20 stud.
A fuselage grounding stud was mounted through the upper left fuselage structure gusset. The powder coating was removed to insure a good electrical connection to the frame. This point is adjacent to the negative terminal of the battery.
All of these points will be connected with #4 AWG cable, to provide an intentional, robust, ground path.
