Brief Description:  Controls Work

Today the forward and aft fuselage halves were separated enough to remove the right push tube cover for deburring, a little clearancing for the cross tube at the lower forward edge of the cover, and to cut a little off the forward edge of the cover that stood proud of the vertical tube that it mounts to.

After the cover was reinstalled, the fuselage halves were rejoined and the elevator reversing arm was mounted and checked for clearance.

While waiting for a few parts to arrive, I decided to start working through the rigging section of the Builder’s Manual. The mating parts of the elevator joiners were cleaned of powder coating until there was a slip fit between them. The horizontal stabilizer was leveled on a work bench and the elevators were attached. Some straightening was required to match the joiner angles to the elevator angles. It will take a little fiddly work to mate these up correctly.
