Today, I began assembly of the seat. The components were updrilled to #40, so my 3/32” clecos would fit, then deburred. The leg support extensions were bent to match the fuselage frame, clamped in position on the fuselage frame, then match drilled and clecoed in position. The seat pan components were clamped in position, match drilled and clecoed to the frame.
The eight pieces of the seat back were updrilled to #40 then clecoed together. The upper seat back frame member was trimmed a little to improve the fit with the side rails. The seat back extruded angle corners were back-ordered, so I made a couple surrogate pieces from some aluminum angle I had on hand, so the frame could be assembled. These are thinner than the specified parts, so they will be replaced when SPA parts arrive.
The seat back was clecoed together then mounted in the airframe with 3/16” bolts for a trial fit.
