Brief Description: GPS Shelf & Rudder and Brake pedals
Today, I finished the design of a GPS shelf. This shelf will be mounted forward of the firewall so the two GPS antennas that will reside here can receive the satellite signal through the fiberglass cowl. The Shelf is formed from 0.040” thick aluminum, and will be riveted in place with stainless steel rivets.
After determining that there was more than enough wing walk material in the sheet I have, I cut small rectangles and mounted them on the rudder and brake pedals. This will improve surface friction and prevent wear on the pedal surface paint.
