Brief Description:  Wing Mounting Components

Today, I drilled through the fuselage rear spar bushing, into the gusset behind it on both sides of the fuselage. Both holes were then reamed to final size.

A pair of temporary shims were cut from a piece of G10 fiberglass plate, probably discarded by a former employer. These will be used for preliminary wing twist checks.

Points were ground on the ends of two set screws. These will be used to set and support the upper wing guide angles in the fuselage.

The two guide angles were clamped in a vice and the end was bent 30-degrees to provide an entry ramp when unfolding the wings.

All of the above operations were completed as suggested in the Builder’s Manual.
