Brief Description:  Forward Fuselage Prep - Bottom Skin

Set the forward fuselage upside down on a couple of saw horses, located the bottom skin as described in the Builder’s manual and clamped the skin in place. Two hundred and ninety nine #40 holes were drilled through the pilot holes in the 0.032” thick aluminum skin, into the 0.035” wall steel tube frame work. Had to change batteries on the cordless drill several times.

I am amazed at the straightness, squareness, and accuracy of the welded steel frame work. The skin fit perfectly.
