I’m trying to figure out what paint to use for the interior cabin. I want something that is durable, but the best stuff, Sherwin Williams Jet Flex WR, costs about $160 per gallon. So I am exploring other options. Today I painted some test panels with Rust-oleum Ultra Cover Paint +Primer, Krylon Dual Superbond Paint + Primer, and Ace Premium Enamel, all in a light gray color. I will allow them to cure for a day or two, and then check for abrasion resistance.
Today I removed the elevator push tube cover sides and top, tail cone stiffeners, and bulkheads for cleanup and dimpling.
The left upper longeron was removed and updrilled in preparation for countersinking.
