Today, I finished dimpling the right aileron skin, then assembled and riveted it together. It was mounted on the wing and connecter to the short aileron push rod. Both ailerons were clamped in the neutral position, then the right aileron was checked for adequate up and down deflection. A one turn adjustment on the short aileron push rod achieved the proper deflection in both directions.
Both aileron wing joiners were mounted to the inboard ribs with temporary fasteners. The left long aileron push rod was inserted into the wing and temporarily connected to the bellcrank. The right aileron joiner was clamped in its neutral position. The inboard fitting for the push rod was temporarily bolted to the right aileron joiner and held in position against the push rod, and the push rod was marked for cutting to length. The pushrod and its inboard end fitting were removed, the tube cut to the mark, both were fit together, then drilled and riveted together. The push rod assembly was reinserted into the wing and connected on both ends.
