I spent parts of a couple of days taking inventory of the Wings and fuselage components that just arrived. There were a few discrepancies that I documented and e-mailed to Rachel. Rachel replied the next day with an updated back-order report. I am very impressed with SPA’s rapid response to questions and issues.
Today, I clecoed the ribs onto the front spars as a quick check of my understanding of the part numbering system, and to get a feel for the fit and function of the assembly. Everything fit very well, without modification or struggle. After studying the Builder’s Manual and drawings, I found it all to be logical and easy to understand and execute.
With my confidence buttressed, I prepared and updrilled both rear spar stiffeners, drilled and then updrilled the stiffener brackets to the #1 rib and rear spars for both wings.
