Brief Description:  Completion of the Spar Riveting

Be sure that the correct rivet set is mounted for the rivet you are squeezing, and that the rivet head is firmly against the spar surface before squeezing. I used a piece of wood to apply pressure against the spar adjacent to the rivet being processed to be sure the rivet head stayed against the spar while squeezing.

Also check to see that the spar is square with the riveter before squeezing.

The second photo shows the back side of the process with a square against one of the securing blocks for the riveter, and a small light to provide a good view of the head of the rivet against the spar face.

The total actual riveting time was 9.1 hours for 448 rivets. While speed is not an objective for me, that works out to 1.22-minutes per rivet, without a single smiley or malformed shop head. Not bad at all.
