The propeller hardware arrived from Sensenich, but everything was screwed up. So, I spent today fabricating the spinner front bulkhead spacers. These were machined from ¾” round aluminum rod. A 25/64” hole was drilled through the center, and they were cut to a length of 1.236”.
The fiberglass lay up from yesterday was removed from the inside of the spinner, and cut into four strips 1.5” wide.
I spent a little more time working on the timing difference between the point’s ignition and the electronic module. A short run today indicated a timing difference of more than four degrees, with the electronic side ahead of the point’s side. I marked the location of the electronic module with a fine felt tip pen, then moved the module the width of the mark clockwise, then locked the module in its new position. Hopefully I will be able to check the timing difference again tomorrow.
