Still waiting for the propeller hardware from Sensenich. While waiting, I have been working on a timing issue, setting parameters and limits in the EFIS, and taking care of a few more punch list items.
This afternoon, I used the inside of the spinner to layup four layers of heavy fiberglass to form the supports for the fillers behind the propeller shanks, for the spinner. The inside of the spinner was lined with packing tape over a 7.5” X 3.5” area at the bottom of the spinner. The four layers of fiberglass and epoxy were laid up on the packing tape, then a piece of peel ply on top to leave a smooth surface.
When cured and removed from the spinner, this piece will be cut into four mounting strips and epoxied to the rear of the fillers.
