Today, the small portion of the upper boot cowl that is exposed under the canopy was sprayed with Eastwood’s 2K aerosol, flat clear. This will significantly reduce the reflected glare on the canopy.
The foot rest plates (carpet protectors) had been painted Destroyer Gray earlier and today were coated with the same flat clear as above.
The three antennas were painted Bright White.
This ends the painting phase of this project. It seems like it has taken forever. I attribute that to my novice/amateur painter status, and the fact that I decided to do it the hard way; completely disassembling it and painting every component separately.
The next step is to tear-down the paint booth to make room for reassembly of the aircraft.
